SMART Step Up I

SMART Step Up holiday programme has been designed and fine-tuned based on real-environment observation and quantifiable impact research, hence robust and highly effective. It comprises 4 standalone but complementary different types of heuristics questions, delivered through specific learning paths for Primary 3 to 6.

It is an introduction to the full SMART Heuristics I & II, where your child will be exposed to different heuristics word problems and learn the correct way to solve them.

SMART Heuristics II – Higher Order Thinking with Heuristics is a continuation of . More heuristics questions are introduced for greater exposure and sharpen your child problem-solving skills.

Primary 3 & 4: Model Drawing  & Higher Order Thinking with Heuristics

Model Drawing is a powerful strategy that enables children to visualize, draw models for and solve Math problems. It strengthens the ability to perceive, analyze and think in mental pictures. It covers visualization techniques, creative drawing, and application in solving challenging Maths problems.

Primary 5 & 6: Solving Heuristics Questions

Heuristics Approach to Problem-Solving: New-technique Creation, Problem-solving Redefinition – trains children to use various common heuristics effortlessly, to solve challenging Maths problems efficiently. It, thus, instills children’s confidence in their Math exams.

Higher-Order Thinking Skills: Knowledge, Comprehension, Analysis, Synthesis & Application– hones these conceptual skills, and the aptitude to apply various Maths syllabus-based heuristics. With exposure to actual exam questions from top schools, children will be ready and confident for the exams.
