International Students (Student’s Pass holders) must achieve at least 90% attendance and not be absent for more than 7 consecutive days without valid reasons.
All internal examinations will be in the form of written papers. A total of 2 Continual Assessments will be conducted.
The AEIS fee is $672.

The English test comprises 34 multiple-choice questions on comprehension and language use. Your child will be given 1 hour to complete the test: (1) Comprehension based on 2 passages (6 items) (2) Comprehension cloze based on 2 passages (10 items) (3) Vocabulary (5 items) (4) Grammar (5 items) (5) Spelling (8 items) | The Mathematics test comprises 2 parts. Your child will be given 25 minutes to complete Part 1 and 40 minutes to complete Part 2: PART 1: Multiple-choice questions (29 items) PART 2: Short-answer questions (17 items) The use of calculators is not allowed. For short-answer questions, your child will have to show the method of solution (working steps) clearly and write the answer in the space provided. Your child will need a pencil to shade their answers for the multiple-choice questions on the Optical Answer Sheet (OAS). |

The English test comprises 2 parts. Your child will be given 2 hours to complete Part 1 and Part 2. The paper is taken in a single sitting: PART 1: Writing 2 topics are set, one of which comes with a picture. Your child has to choose 1 topic and write a composition of at least 100 words on it. PART 2: Comprehension and language use. 50 compulsory multiple-choice questions comprising: (1) Comprehension based on 2 passages (10 items) (2) Comprehension cloze based on 2 passages (12 items) (3) Vocabulary (14 items) (4) Grammar (14 items) | The Mathematics test comprises 2 parts. Your child will be given 35 minutes to complete Part 1, and 50 minutes to complete Part 2: PART 1: Multiple-choice questions (30 items). PART 2: Short-answer questions (8 items) and open-ended questions (6 items). The use of calculators is not allowed. Your child have to choose 1 topic and write a composition on it: . 200 to 300 words for Sec 1 test. . 250 to 350 words for Sec 2 test. . 300 to 400 words for Sec 3 test. The application period for the 2022 AEIS will start in July 2022. Tests will be conducted in September or October 2022. These periods are tentative; details will be available here by July 2022.
Follow these steps:
o If you are unable to do so, you can also pay through PayNow or NETS. You will receive an email with QR code for payment through PayNow and instructions to pay through NETS. If you choose to pay by NETS, you are to make an appointment at least 2 days in advance before proceeding to our Customer Service Centre.
o Your child’s birth certificate (Original) and a Notarised copy if the birth certificate is not in English.
o Your child’s passport with validity of at least 6 months.
